Eli's Mountain Morning Soap

I love soap! 🧼 My Mimi taught me how to make it, and she’s seriously the best at soapmaking… actually, she’s the best at a lot of things. She lets me do all the weighing, pouring, and mixing—just not the sodium hydroxide part because it’s super caustic. But don’t worry! All the lye gets totally transformed during the six weeks it takes to make the soap.

My soaps are 100% natural, and I only use ingredients that come from plants. Want proof? Here’s the list of ingredients:

Saponified oils of Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Sustainable Palm Oil (because a lot of palm oil that's being harvetsed is taking away the orangutans homes but this one doesn't) , Rice Oil, and Castor Oil, plus some beeswax and tons of essential oils. The essential oils I use are Lemon, Rosemary, Lavender, a little bit of Citronella (which is actually amazing for keeping bugs away!), and Tea Tree.

I love how I can use this for my hair and body all at once—so much easier! Oh, and it’s totally safe for the aquifers, so no worries about harming the water! 🌍💧
