Made with clear, odorless, pure food-grade mineral oil, Howard Cutting Board Oil is ideal for preserving and protecting all wood surfaces used in food preparation. Its deep-penetrating formula enhances the natural grain of the wood while helping to prevent drying, cracking, and warping.

Perfect for the initial “oiling” or “seasoning” of cutting boards, butcher blocks, wooden utensils, and bowls.

The mineral oil exceeds U.S. FDA requirements for food-contact surfaces and is safe for all food preparation use. Sourced from virgin mineral oils, it contains no nut, gluten, or other allergen exposure during production, storage, or transport.

Instructions for use: Remove safety seal. Apply with your very fine (#0000) steel wool. On wooden bowls and utensils, soak for at least 20 minutes and wipe off excess. To properly oil (season) new or raw wood cutting board surfaces, apply at least 2 coats. For thick wood surfaces like butcher blocks, apply 3-4 coats and let each coat soak in for at least an hour. Wipe away excess before use.
